GT Cable Problem
GT Marathon Pro (and Team I would imagine)
"I have encountered a problem with the cabling to the rear brakes/derailleur on my Marathon Pro.
There is very obvious wear where the cables pass between the frame and suspension and once sand and mud get in this is amplified. Is this a common problem and if so does anyone have a workable solution to resolving it? I would imagine over time this will obviously weaken the carbon fibre.
I did mention it to the local GT rep here in South Africa who said he was aware of it but he did not have , or was not aware of a cure.
An unfortunate design fault on an otherwise superb bike."
